Cute Casual outfit ideas for winter

December 3rd, you guys! The holidays for here! How are you coping with the schedules and to-do lists so far? Crazy how fast it seems to pop up, right?

Sharing a few things to think about as you tackle the month of December!

1.Plan ahead.

Guys, I know this isn’t rocket science, but I find it my VERY biggest challenge when it comes to the holidays. My intentions are always good and I vow to stay on top of everything, but then the snowball effect starts to happen and I panic. It might sound overboard, but honestly, sit down with your December calendar and mark all the important events, parties, etc. Then give yourself a to-do list WITH a timeline to keep you on track. Be sure to add in a little time cushion for each task because, well, life happens, right?

2.Get more rest.

Bottom line. You GOTTA have rest so you don’t get overwhelmed with everything happening this month. Try setting a bedtime for yourself and sticking to it. Sleep is probably THE most crucial thing to keep in check, especially during the hectic holiday season. Ain’t nobody happy if mama ain’t happy…..and a sleepy mama ain’t a happy mama. Ha!

3.Seek Sunshine.

Sometimes, the simplest things are the ones that help the most. If you suffer from seasonal depression or anxiety, try elevating your serotonin levels by walking out into the sunshine for a few minutes with your favorite tunes streaming through your earbuds. Sunshine and music are the two things that ALWAYS help me when I’m feeling down or overwhelmed.

4.Learn to say ‘no, thanks’.

The holidays can make you feel pressure to say ‘yes’ to every single person who asks you to bring or do something, don’t they? Guys, know your limits and decide that you’re going to politely decline invitations, etc. that tack on any more additional stress than you can handle. The goal is to ENJOY the season, not just endure it.

5.Maintain your daily routine.

Whenever I feel like my life situation is bringing on the stress for whatever reason, I often find that those are the times that I’m not maintaining my normal daily routine. Will variations to the schedule happen this month? Darn right they will! BUT, try to stick to the things that you normally do as best you can. Being mindful about that always helps me no matter what time of the year it is, honestly.
