Today is the day!
We are packed and ready to head out for our cruise to Cozumel today. I joked last night on Instagram that all I had packed thus far were my swimsuits, which was true! So when I got “oh wow, you’re not packed yet?!” from friends and family, I started to think that maybe I had procrastinated the process a little too much. Ha! BUT, I will tell you that even though I have not always been the best travel packer, I’m feeling pretty good about my selection process. Thanks to Happiness is a Gamble which has provided me many travel tips this time around. I normally wayyy over pack and have stuff everywhere and in every nook, cranny and pocket available. It’s historically always been a hot mess scenario, you guys.
But, I did my research this time and took advantage of a few travel hacks that have me feeling pretty savvy this morning. Ha!
So, here are a few things I’ve done or packed to make the process a bit better for our cruise this week:

Eight Packing Tips for Cruisin’
- Organize ALL your toiletries in gallon ziplock bags (hair products in one, facial products in another, etc.)
- ROLL all of your clothing instead of folding to save space and prevent wrinkles
- Bring an over the door shoe organizer to put all of your toiletries in when you get to your room (space is limited in the cruise cabins and everything will then be in sight and at your fingertips when you need them)
- Pack a nightlight for dark rooms and night time with kiddos(I packed one with a scent warmer built in to keep our room smelling nice)
- Have a lanyard handy, preferably with a little space attached for your license/cash, etc to keep your cruise card in and keep you hands free
- Invest in some waterproof walkie talkies for when you’re on the ship and need to check in on other members of your family (cell roaming charges can get expensive)
- Bring a power strip to plug in all those electronic devices in your cabin
- Pack some beach chair towel clips (it can get windy on the top deck)

So those are just a few things I’m doing or bringing with us for our Carnival Cruise this week. Fingers crossed they help out and make life easier! I’ll let you know how we fared when we get back! I plan to document the trip with photos, so hopefully I’ll be able to use those and do a post about our vacation for you guys soon.
Depending on service aboard the ship, I hope to be able to share some of our experiences via the Instagram Insta Stories feature while we are there, so feel free to check on that each day if ya like.
See you back here soon, friends!
