Hi gals! How was your Christmas Day?! We had a nice quiet one at home with our boys and both of my parents stopped by for a bit to see the loot that Santa brought. I made a big pot of gumbo, as has become our yearly tradition the past few years. It was a really nice day of just relaxing and watching the kids play with their gifts.
While I’m always excited about Christmas, I’m usually just as excited at the idea of putting all the decorations away, reorganizing the house and getting a clean start going for the new year. I have a strong suspicion most of us feel this way just after the holidays. Gotta have some calm after all the chaos.
So, I finally scooped up a pair of OTK boots a couple of weeks ago after MUCH searching. The highly coveted(me, included) Stuart Weitzman version were a bit out of my current price range, so I was on a hunt for something comparable in style and stumbled upon these that I’m wearing here. For the price, you can’t beat them. They give you a similar effect at a fraction of the price. Someday I may splurge on the others, but these are doing the job nicely for me right now.
Hey, how fun is this Christmas decorated house behind me in these pics? During my marathon training earlier this year I would run past it weekly and admire it. They go all out for each season and dress up that vintage truck in the front yard and put out over sized decorations of all kinds. Love it.
Thanks so much for reading and have a great Monday, you guys!
