Our family Christmas cards officially hit the mail last week and is it just me or is that like one of THE biggest hurdles of December? From scheduling the photo session to picking out coordinating, but not TOO coordinating outfits for everyone in the family, to getting everyone to smile for the photos in the “right” way….it’s all a bit silly, right? Ha! And yet, we still do it every year, because honestly, I love looking back on our Christmas cards from year’s past and seeing how big our boys have gotten and remember what was going on in our family life each particular year.
I have been using either Minted or Simply to Impress the past several years and love both companies for their easy to fill in designs and quick turnaround time.
Are Christmas photo cards a tradition for your family or do you skip the extra stress?

The Holiday Hustle is in full swing….
Hope your week is off to a great start and you’re not stressing too much with last minute Christmas to-do’s! But if you are, take some deep breaths and try to focus on the real reason we celebrate this holiday and not so much on the trivial gifting that we all place WAY too much importance on.
If you have little ones, I pray you take some time to see this special time through their eyes and find one memory-making task you can do together this week. Whether that be driving around looking at Christmas lights in your neighborhoods, making a gingerbread house, baking a birthday cake for Jesus or turning on the Christmas music and letting them help you wrap gifts for their friends and family….I find it’s truly the little things like this that they remember. I love hearing what our boys recall about our family Christmases. It’s usually not the big stuff at all, but things like licking the bowl as we make cookies together and picking out our Christmas tree.
In short, enjoy this time with those you love, friends!! XO
