How’s your Tuesday going, friends? Wish I could say it’s just your plain ol’ generic Tuesday around here, but all schools and most businesses are shut down today in our area with the threat of severe weather….strong wind, tornados, heavy rain. So we are hunkered down inside today until everything clears out later tonight. My phone keeps buzzing and sending out the weather warnings every few minutes. Luckily though, we still have power and I can finish up my post today. Let’s see if I can get this thing live before it goes out on us!
This dressy little floral number gets me so excited about spring, you guys! The stripes with the bold floral print really catches your eye and the cut is one that flatters just about every figure type. Very 1950’s-esque with a modern update. Speaking of the 50’s, I like to watch old movies while I do computer work some days. I just polished off Breakfast at Tiffany’s and How to Marry a Millionaire this morning. Gah, they just don’t come any more glamorous or gorgeous than Audrey and Marilyn, in my opinion.
So, here’s to all you modern glamour girls out there! This super affordable($60!) dress is a great excuse to get all dolled up and find some where fun to go with your gal pals or your sweetie. You’ll love how you feel in it, I promise.
(Just FYI so you know for fit purposes….I took mine to my local tailor and had him raise the hem a bit for my shorter frame and he also took a pinch off the waistline for me. Fits like a glove now and I can’t wait to find another occasion to wear it to! I SO need an invite to a spring garden party!) 🙂
Have a great afternoon, ladies and thanks so much for reading!
