Hi, friends! So, if you’re a local reader, you may be getting ready for Mardi Gras…and if you’re anything like me, you’ve been partaking in wayyy too many King Cakes and King Cake lattes as of late. Seriously, as much I enjoy all the amazing sweets and coffees, this madness has to end soon. Just coming off Christmas and Valentine’s Day coming up next week, how’s a gal supposed to keep a clean diet? Even my daily workouts and runs can’t keep up with my constant sweets binging right now! Ha!

One thing I CAN get into right now though without guilt is shopping for Mardi Gras Ball dresses! I love all the drama and glam of the Mardi Gras season and a great formal gown for all of the balls and elegant events is a definite must.

If you’ve been following along with me here at the blog, you may remember my curated collection that I had the opportunity to create with SoSis Boutique for the holiday season a couple of months ago. They’ve been online for a couple of years now, but also recently opened a storefront in the Port Allen area. If you’re from the Baton Rouge area, do yourself a favor and drop in! The boutique is a great place to shop for both dressy pieces like this formal dress, and for more casual items as well. Non-local friends, fear not! You can also shop their selections online. Nothing beats 24/7 access and shopping in your pjs, amiright?!

Can we discuss this lace number for a minute? I’m in love with the sheer detail on the bottom and the drama that it creates! During my high school years, I had a long black lace dress made for one of my proms and this one from SoSis reminds me so much of it! I’m pretty sure I could pull that prom dress out today and it would still look up to date. I think the same can be said for this one as well!
