So, how did you fair in the Lilly Pulitzer for Target situation a few weeks back? I had it marked on my calender with two alarm reminders to go off the day before it all went live. I spent way more time than I care to admit trying to decide on which pieces I wanted to get my hands on. I was ready, you guys. I stayed up til midnight the night before and checked the site. Nothing.
I set my alarm for 2am and got back online to the site.
Reset my alarm at 5am and got back online. EVERYTHING was gone!! Talk about waking up with some real anger issues! I frantically went through all of my planned out picks and one, by one, they were all gone. What I did score were the adorable espadrilles, the beach blanket and a couple of the nail polishes from the collection though, so I guess it wasn’t a total bust….but man, was I upset and tired from waking up three times that night before and not scoring that clamshell clutch that I had my heart set on! 🙁
But what does make me happy in the wake of LillyGate is this lace overlay skirt. It has a bit of a Lilly Pulitzer vibe to it and I feel a wee bit vindicated wearing it. Ha! I especially love the lace hemline detail and the ladylike length of it with the body hugging shape. I brought out the bright blues and yellows for this one with the heels, bag and statement ring. Little pops of color here and there.
This Taudrey necklace I got to help design is such a classic piece paired with this top and skirt. I’m still so happy about how it turned out! Be sure to use code: JANUARY10 for 10% off your order if you decide to get your own personalized version.
