Leopard Luxe

I’ve always had a love of highly textured fabrics. What can I say? From all the way back to my days in design school, It’s just always been my “thing”, so to speak. I’ve always thought that they add so much interest and encompass the ability to elevate even the simplest of garments into something really special.

So, since a fantastic leopard print is kind of a no brainer, when I realized that this fabric I had found was also a metallic brocade with that fantastic texture quality I always look for, I scooped it up immediately and got to work on this skirt design. The only thing I’m sad about is that it can often be darn near impossible to capture the beauty of a brocade in a photo. You’ll have to trust me on it though…the metallic threads in the weave really dress up this skirt style so nicely in person.

I opted to pair it with my very favorite sequin collar blouse and bow heels for an easy, no fuss dressy look. And speaking of bows, if you stare really, really hard, you’ll see one on the waistband as well.

Go ahead…Squint really hard…..see it? 🙂

As much as I love color, there is just something about neutrals that get me! Another gorgeous look, love it January!
