Little White Dress

Little White Dress

Hey friends! So excited to share this LWD with you guys today! We all know the little black dress is an eternal staple, but the little white dress has quickly become a wardrobe must as well. Summer is sneaking up on us at warp speed and there’s nothing that feels more fresh to me than an all white ensemble. While a simple sheath is certainly a winner, I love to see unexpected details and textures in a white dress. I just think it adds so much interest.

This scalloped version with all of the pretty cutouts and neckline make it such a stand-out piece. I held my breath when I slipped this dress on, ya’ll. True Story. I was SO afraid it wouldn’t fit right or the straps would be in a funky position or something.

Boom. It was perfect.

Here are a few of the details that I love about the fit in case you’re trying to figure out if it might work for you.

It has a small amount of elastic in the back of the dress at the top so it “hugs” your back, so to speak. Also, because the apparel design student in me loves to see good construction, this piece has a great functional invisible zipper, making for a seamless look even from the back view. Lastly, the straps are completely adjustable. This is always one of my most favorite features on anything with spaghetti-type straps.

Now, I could stop there and this dress would be a total winner. But, I think you guys need to know that this LWD is only $28!!! Seriously, 28 dollars.

You’re welcome. šŸ˜‰

(Hey, I’m kinda obsessed lately and know that this is totally off topic, but have you tried this stuff? I’ve never EVER been a coffee lover….and I tried….lots of times. But, I recently discovered it wasn’t really the flavor I wasn’t jiving with, it was the temperature! I’m not a huge fan of hot beverages, apparently. But, put it over ice and I can drink down 24 ounces of it in a flash!

So, the bottom line is, I’ve now joined the ranks with the rest of you coffee addicts and become a minimum two-iced coffee-a-day drinker. Yikes! (I smell anĀ intervention coming on soon.) And when I can’t make it out to the coffee shop, I substitute that Starbucks home version I mentioned(I’ve had luck finding it here locally in some grocery stores and Walmart). A little splash of non-fat milk and I’m a happy gal. Give it a try if you haven’t already!)

Have a great afternoon and thanks so much for stopping by today! xo
