Meet me at the Mardi Gras

Meet me at the Mardi Gras

It’s Mardi Gras weekend here in the Baton Rouge area. Having been born and raised in New Orleans, I’ve experienced lots of Mardi Gras in my life….gone to parades, marched in parades(too many to remember!) and now taking my little ones to experience their first family-friendly parade yesterday.

There were a string of years after moving away from home that I opted out of the festivities, but I thought my boys were at the perfect age to enjoy it this year. To say that we all enjoyed way too much parade junk food would be a serious understatement. It’s definitely one of the hazards of parading around here. Pilates class, here I come.

Anyway, I thought it might be fun to pull together a festive look with some Mardi Gras vibes to it. Although several of these pieces are oldies from my closet, I’ve linked up some very similar and really cute options below!

Enjoy your Sunday, ladies!

Here in Mardi Gras town, we don’t hide the crazy, we parade it down the street! 🙂
