We’re talking hair today, you guys. Where are all my hair care/beauty diehards?
I’m sharing my thoughts and experience with the newest hairdryer from T3 that’s now available at Sephora. The PROI Professional. It’s engineered for professionals, which to me says that it’s built (1) to last, (2) to perform efficiently and (3) to create a beautiful salon quality blowout.
After taking my highly anticipated shot at it(can’t remember the last time I was excited to dry my hair at 8pm at night!), I can very clearly see the difference a high quality professional dryer makes in not only the overall drying time, but also in the finished effect. After it was all said and done, I can honestly say that my hair was WAY more shiny and the reduction in frizz(I have quite a bit of natural wave in my hair which often translates into a lot of frizz) was nothing short of dramatic, you guys. IN LOVE!
Now, while I don’t know A THING about why or how the combination of “negative ions and infrared heat” work in a dryer, what I DO know is that it does. The shine don’t lie, ya’ll. And honestly, that’s all us girls really care about in the end, amirite?
Give us gawgeous, shiny hair!
Beyond just those two biggies(quickness and smooth results), there are a couple other things I noticed that I really liked.
First, I’ll just go ahead and get this one out of the way.
It’s a pretty darn sexy looking dryer, if I’m talking first impressions with you. That sleek dark metallic finish? Sexy. I don’t care who you are.
Moving on.
It’s really lightweight, uber powerful, and the cool shot feature is actually a toggle button. All the dryers I’ve ever owned, you had to hold down the button to get the cool air blast. This one stays on when you press it and then when you press it again it turns the heat back on. It may sound like a small thing, but when you’re having to hold down that little bugger of a button for a couple minutes or so and you’re juggling the dryer from one hand to another, it gets a little annoying to keep the pressure on it. Call it a first world problem if you must, but I’m just sayin’. 😉
Ok, I’d be leaving out something pretty big if I didn’t talk a little about price with you. Because let’s face it, this professional dryer is not the cheapest one out there on the market. But here’s the thing….how often do you use your hair dryer? 2, 3, 4 times a week? This is one tool that does not sit around and collect dust. So, for me, investing in something that’s going to give me the result I want in half the time as other dryers, I totally see it as money well spent. And did I mention the design on this model was created with professionals in mind that use these kinds of tools ALL DAY LONG? They are built to last, which means you don’t have to buy a new dryer every year when your $20 version burns out on you.

I can now definitely see why the last T3 model won Allure’s Best of Beauty Awards for Best Blowdryer and Best Breakthrough product. T3 just really makes fantastic tools for those looking for the best in hair care.

Last thing while I’m on the topic of hair care…..I also wanted to share with you guys the product combination, in addition to the T3 dryer, that’s been working really great for me as of late where humidity and the frizzies are concerned. Seriously, I dedicated OODLES of time over the summer desperately trying to find something that would help with all the heat and horrible damp conditions here. I was on a mission. It felt a little something like Goldilocks and the Three Bears…..this one too hot, this one too cold, this one too big, and on and on it went. All the different combinations just weren’t cutting it.
And then I remembered hearing great things about the Living Proof line(Hello, Jennifer Anniston hair!) and at about the same time my hair stylist introduced me to the brand spanking new Paul Mitchell Mirrorsmooth line. Bingo! The Living Proof Weightless Styling Spray paired with the new Paul Mitchell line is a hair marriage made in heaven for this gal’s locks!
So here’s my current haircare routine:
- Shampoo(Mirrorsmooth)
- Condition(Mirrorsmooth)
- Two pumps of the High Gloss Primer spread throughout
- Section off the hair and generously apply the Weightless Styling Spray
- Round brush each section with the Proi T3 Dryer and finishing it with a blast from the cool shot feature to lock in the shine and keep the frizz away
