What’s old is new again…

As a fashion lover, I get excited when a new silhouette comes to the forefront and we get an opportunity to change things up a bit. I’ve heard lots of friends say they are ready to have a denim option that doesn’t include the word “skinny” in the title. Now, while I don’t think the skinny jeans are going anywhere anytime soon, I do love that there is something else out there that’s current as well. This is where the flares and barely bootcuts come in. Remember those??

If you’ve been waiting for a new denim to try and haven’t already done so, give the flares a try, or even a straighter, less skinny leg. You just might love the change and the look it gives you! I honestly was surprised at just how much I loved them the first time I put them on!

I paired mine up today with a versatile longer length tunic and this great waterfall cardigan. I don’t always wear a bunch of cardigans, but when I put this one on, I immediately wished it came in a bunch of other colors so I could stock up on them! Super flattering and I appreciate great details like the cascading effect and the elbow patches.

Now, I’ve been out of the workplace for some time now, but I’m pretty sure this look would work for a casual Friday with some closed toe heels. As a mom who pretty much lives in her fitness gear on the daily, I felt so polished and “grown up” in this look. Ha!

Hope you guys are having a great afternoon! I spent the morning at the gym with my class workout buddies. We all dressed up in our Halloween costumes, worked out, and then went out for coffee and cupcakes. Good thing we worked out, right?! 🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by my little spot on the web today! xo
