So a very awesome fashion friend of mine recently asked if I was ready for the return of one of our favorite spring colors: mint. I enthusiastically replied, “YES!” and quickly started thinking about all of the many things in my closet dedicated to this cheerful shade of blue(or is it green? hmmm…). The decision I came to was that I just wasn’t willing to wait another two months to pull it out. With all of the usual dark winter color palettes in full swing during this time of the year, it’s fun to pull out a color usually associated with the warmer months. The unexpected keeps things fresh and interesting, I always find.
I paired my mint with navy skimmer pants, a tan fedora and this pretty amazing plaid scarf. (It’s going to be such a great piece to pull out and wear, especially when we are all really itching for spring in the next month.)
So, I challenge you to try to break those seasonal color associations we all have when it comes to fashion. Just about anything can be made seasonally appropriate these days if put together in the right way.
