Saltine Cracker Toffee

  • 1 cup Butter *plus more to butter pan
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers
  • 12 oz Milk Chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Chopped Pecans


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Prepare a sheet pan with tin foil. Heavily butter the foiled pan.

  3. Lay out crackers side by side covering entire tray. Set aside.

  4. Add brown sugar and butter to a saucepan. Stir continuously over medium heat. Bring to a boil for four minutes.

  5. Pour mixture over prepared crackers and spread out, covering all crackers.

    Bake for 5 minutes in 350 degree oven.

    Remove fro oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over brown sugar mixture. Using a spatula, spread out melted chocolate chips, covering whole pan.

  6. Add chopped pecans to the top, covering whole pan.

    Let set for 30 minutes in refrigerator.

  7. Break into pieces and store in a covered container.
