The first week of the first month of the year….or “my month” as I like to call it! Pete loves when I milk the heck out of my birthday month. I always tell him, the day his parents name him a month of the year, he’ll have his own month too! Ha!

Fresh starts make me a little giddy, am I alone here? I’ve been “brain dumping” all of my 2017 goals over the past couple of days on paper and I honestly can’t wait to get things under way and to see what God has in store for the next 365 days. I learned and experienced SO much last year that made me a more well rounded person. I look forward to tackling several projects that have scared the life out of me to even think about thus far.

If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.

.

That’s my motto going into 2017, friends. I saw what stepping out of my comfort zone did for me over the course of the year and I can’t wait to do more of what challenges me in the months ahead!

Did you set out to challenge yourself last year with something you weren’t sure you could do? How did it go?

Pete and I had dinner last night with this beauty and her husband and talk about a great, great time! It’s often tough to find couples where you both “click” and hit it off, but we all definitely have and of the things I’m most looking forward to, spending time with them and their family is at the VERY top of the list! Be sure to stop by her gorgeous blog, Dashing Darlin’! You’ll love her, I promise you!

I want to really thank you all from the very bottom of my heart for supporting my journey here on the blog thus far. In these insanely busy days, knowing that you all take the time to stop by and see what’s new here means everything to me. I really hope to get to know more about each of you and to be able to share our ups and downs with each other.

My whole life, I’ve been a pretty private person if I’m honest, but the past year or two, I’ve been working on being more transparent with you guys and it’s been SUCH a relief and weight off my shoulders. To not have to appear “perfect” or look like I have it all together all the time has been exactly what I’ve needed. I’m beginning to see that one of the reasons I think God set me on this journey was to help ME feel more comfortable in MY own skin.

My true hope is that you gain some bit of info/inspiration/food for thought that helps you in some small way during your time here on the blog. I want you to leave here with a smile and feeling encouraged in some way. If there are topics you’d like to see more of here, please don’t hesitate to let me know! I’d absolutely LOVE to hear from you and how I can help!
